We offer a full range of accessories to improve the performance and flexibility of Polar Air fan coil units. Including insulation, condensate pumps, drain pans, valve kits, electric heaters, and controls.
Valves
We offer a wide variety of valve options to meet different project needs, divided in 3 main packages.
Includes a 2- or 3-way body valve, on-off or modulating actuators (24V or 110–240V), and BSPT or NPT connectors.
A simple, reliable starting point for most installations.
Includes all components from the Basic Kit, plus a connection piping kit to the unit.
Designed to save time during setup and ensure a clean, consistent installation.
Includes all components from the Standard Kit, plus two shut-off valves, a strainer, and a manual balancing valve.
Our new HYDRO+VALVE KIT is a smart, cost-effective upgrade that is designed to make installation significantly faster and easier.
Condensate Pumps
Optional pre-installed Sauermann or Standard condensate pumps with float switch available for selected models.
Drain Pans
All our hydronic fan coils come equipped with a drain pan as part of the standard package.
Electric heaters
Including PTC, Tube, and Module Kits. Each includes an auto-klixon thermal switch, and a fuse/contact relay that is factory-wired and tested.
NBR Insulation
All our fan coils come with standard NBR insulation.
Filters
All our fan coils come equipped with standard filters. Additionally, we offer filter racks for ducted units to help reduce maintenance.

Integrated Transformer
Converts 230V mains power to 24V, eliminating the need for external transformers. This simplifies installation, and ensures compatibility with standard 24V control systems.
ABS LED Receiver
Infrared receiver in ABS casing with up to 180 cm (70 7/8”) length pre-wiring, which can be connected with TOTAL controls only. LED lights show working or error mode.
Available for all models, except PHW Highwall and PCGH-3R 4-Way Cassette where it is included.
Disconnect switch
Provides a means to isolate electrical power during maintenance or emergency shutdowns safely.
Included as standard in PHW Highwall and PCGH-3R 4-Way Cassette.
Flanges for fresh air
Allows up to 30% of unit air flow up to a maximum of 100m3/h (59CFM) as fresh air intake (15% per connection, with a maximum of 2 connections). Includes knock-out fresh air connection holes. ABS plastic flanges use only two screws for the fixture to the unit.
Available for PCGH-3R 4-Way Cassette models.
Flanges for branch duct
For the delivery of treated air to adjacent spaces with 2 connectors per single fan coil unit.
Available for PCGH-3R 4-Way Cassette models.
Supply/Return Air Plenum
Allow ducted connection to the unit, improving air distribution, reducing noise, and supporting concealed or ceiling-integrated installations without compromising airflow or efficiency. There are 2 options available: modulating or on/off damper.
Available for PDWD Double Skin Ducted, HAHU-B Horizontal Mini AHU and VAHU Vertical Mini AHU models.
90º Elbow Kit
Designed to redirect airflow 90º (typically forward-facing) when the unit is installed within a wall or recessed space, improving circulation and supporting clean, flush-fit installations without compromising performance.
Available for uncased PFWB Universal Floorstanding/Console and PFWSLU Slim Floorstanding/Console.
Supporting Feet
Our Floorstanding/Console fan coils offer two supporting feet options, designed for secure floor mounting. These accessories enable clean, freestanding installation without wall brackets, enhancing aesthetics and flexibility in residential, hospitality, and retrofit settings.
Available for PFWB(C) Universal and PFWSL(U) Slim Floorstanding/Console models.

FAQs: accessories for fan coils
Can I retrofit accessories to an existing unit?
Yes, Polar Air accessories can often be retrofitted to an installed fan coil unit, since the whole project scope is not always known at the time of ordering.
To ensure compatibility, we will need the unit’s serial number so our team can match the correct components.
Our experts can also help map out the full scope of your fan coil project in advance, making sure you have all the necessary accessories before installation. How do I choose between 2-way and 3-way valves?
The choice depends on your application.
A 2-way valve is generally used for variable flow systems, while a 3-way valve is better suited for constant flow or bypass applications.
For selected models, we also offer Belimo valves. Because compatibility varies, we recommend contacting our team to confirm the best option for your system.
What should I know about condensate pumps?
Our condensate pumps have a nominal rated lift of 1200 mm (47″), suitable for most ducted fan coil applications.
We offer pumps from Sauermann and other standard suppliers. On selected models, pumps include a built-in float switch for added safety and control.
Do you offer controllers as accessories?
Yes. We provide a range of controllers to give you flexibility in how you operate your fan coils:
- IRHS-V1 Infrared Handset
- WWP-V3 Wired Wallpad (which can also be integrated into the PFWSL Slim Ceiling Concealed cased unit for enhanced controllability)

What actuators are available?
Our actuators operate in the 110–240V range, providing flexibility for a wide range of installations.
Do you provide electric heater kits?
Yes. We offer several kit options, all with 2-stage safety cut-outs:
- PTC Kit: Configurable as booster or primary heaters
- Tube Kit: Configurable as booster or primary heaters
- Module Kit: Easy to connect to the control box with mounting fixtures, Modbus-selectable configuration
Non-standard electric heater sizes are also available on request.
What filters do you have available?
All our fan coils come equipped with standard filtration. Optional upgrades are available if your project requires enhanced air quality:
- Standard
G2 (MERV 2) – Ideal for basic residential or light commercial environments where minimal filtration is sufficient. - Upgrade
G4 (MERV 8) – Captures finer particles such as mold spores and dust mites, making it suitable for hygiene-sensitive areas and
improving overall indoor air quality. - Premium
F8 (MERV 14) – Designed for specialized or large-scale industrial applications, including cleanrooms, pharmaceutical facilities, and heavy-duty manufacturing.
Additionally, we offer filter racks for ducted units to help reduce both time and maintenance costs.
